AUDIO: Louis Belanger on Oxfam affiliates coming together to deliver water; Haitians fear of returning to homes (ENGLISH)
The water bladders: Oxfam Spain.
The trucks: Oxfam Quebec.
The Engineers: Oxfam Great Britain.
The Support: Everyone.
Oxfam came together to deliver 30,00 liters of water today to Haiti's desperate people. While, this is just a drop of what we ultimately need to see, we will get there due to our dedicated staff and our generous supporters. With water flowing at our initial sites, some of the team were able to make assessments in order to find new places to distribute water to the estimated 1.5 million people living outdoors. Many are homeless, and many more are scared to go home. There is both a very real fear of another earthquake, but also intense psychological pain that comes with such great loss of life. Still, the people press on, and we will be there to help each step of the way. Please, join us.
